1. Before installing the compensator, its model, specifications, and pipeline configuration should be checked to ensure that they meet the design requirements.

1. Before installing the compensator, its model, specifications, and pipeline configuration should be checked to ensure that they meet the design requirements.

2. Compensators with a guide tube should be aligned with the flow direction of the medium.

3. The hinge rotation plane of the hinge type compensator should be consistent with the displacement rotation plane.

4. A pre deformation compensator is required, and the auxiliary components used for pre deformation are removed after the pipeline installation is completed.

5. It is strictly prohibited to adjust the installation deviation of the pipeline using the method of deformation of the corrugated compensator. The axis of the compensator must be aligned with the axis of the connected pipeline. When there is a deviation in pipeline installation, let the pipe find a compensator. Do not use the deformation of the compensator to compensate for the installation deviation, in order to avoid affecting the normal function of the compensator, reducing its service life, and increasing the load on the pipeline, equipment, and supporting components. Do not forcefully twist one end of the compensator to find a positive bolt hole, as the bellows cannot withstand torque. During installation, the compensator shall be adjusted in place, and a flange shall be reserved for proper adjustment before welding.

6. The horizontal large pull rod type, axial compound type, and the pull rod and nut on the regulator cannot be removed. The nut coated with yellow paint on the inner side of the flange on the compensator rod should be loosened for a certain distance after installation.

During the installation and welding process, welding slag is not allowed to splash onto the surface of the wave shell, and other mechanical damage to the wave shell is not allowed.

8. Before installing the directly buried compensator, the bottom of the pipe trench should be compacted and leveled, so that the compensator and the directly buried insulation pipe can be leveled and aligned. The fixed end (dead end) of the directly buried compensator should be installed close to the pipeline fixing bracket. The compensator guide tube mainly plays a role in reducing fluid resistance and vibration reduction.

9. After the installation of the piping system, the pull rod and shaft positioning mechanism (painted yellow parts) used for transportation protection on the corrugated compensator should be removed as soon as possible, and the limit device should be adjusted to the specified position according to the design requirements.

10. All moving components of the compensator shall not be stuck or restricted by external components, and the normal operation of each moving part shall be ensured.

11. During the hydraulic test of the system, perform the system pressure test according to the design requirements. The secondary fixed pipe rack equipped with a compensator at the end of the pipeline should be reinforced to prevent movement or rotation of the pipeline. Do not use the transport rod to withstand the pressure test thrust. If the pipeline is subjected to segmented pressure testing, the segmented blind end was originally a secondary fixed support and must be temporarily reinforced to prevent pushing and overturning. The test pressure should not exceed 1.5 times the expansion working pressure. For compensators and their connecting pipelines used for gas media, it is necessary to check whether temporary supports need to be added when the load increases during water filling. The chloride ion content of water and cleaning solution for hydraulic testing shall not exceed 25PPM.

After the hydraulic test is completed, the accumulated water in the wave shell should be drained as soon as possible and the inner surface of the wave shell should be quickly blown dry.

13. The insulation material in contact with the bellows of the compensator should be free of chloride ions.
